Lost Up, Down, Right, Left Data

Top  Previous  Next

The Up, Down, Right, Left data (UDRL) for a particular shot is usally associated with the 'From' station. When you reverse a shot, the 'To' station becomes the 'From' station and vice versa. When the editor reverses a shot, it locates the UDRL data for the new 'From' station and uses it for the shot. Sometimes the original UDRL data that is overwritten is lost. This occurs when there isn't another shot that has the UDRL data for the station. When this happens, you should re-enter the UDRL data for the shot using a Zero Length Shot.
